Warming Ginger Drink - Shoga-yu

Ginger is said to be an excellent remedy for the early stages of a cold since it keeps the body warm and stimulates perspiration. Use fresh ginger.
Makes 1 Serving

  1. 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  2. 1 tsp honey or maple syrup, optional
  3. 1 cup boiled spring water
  4. Put ginger and sweetener in a cup. Pour boiled water in the cup and mix well. Drink hot.

In addition to being one of the best cold remedies, ginger tea also useful in treating fevers, reducing aches and pains, congestion, and inflammation associated with the common cold and flu and other related problems of the respiratory system.
