Cooking Suggestions: Soak 2 Cups of Black Turtle Beans and boil until done, then purée with 2-3 Cups of spring water. Pour into a pan, add 2 tsp. miso puréed, and simmer 3-4 minutes. Garnish with parsley or scallions. Enjoy!

They are slightly sweet, spicy and robust, making them ideal bean for soups, or a delicious black refried bean dish, known as "refritos negros." Black Turtle Beans are interchangeable with the pinto bean in any recipe, however unlike the pinto bean it will turn the other ingredients a nice black color.
